2020-2021 SEASON

We’ve currently planned our return to the stage for Feb. 20-21, 2021 and April 17-18, 2021. These concerts are scheduled to take place at our regular concert venues: the historical and elegant El Campanil Theatre and the contemporary and inspiring Lesher Center for the Arts. Of course, safety is our top priority, so please stay tuned for any adjustments that we may need to make to protect our musicians and audience. Read more

    From heroic fanfares to sultry serenades, the trumpet is a leading voice that composers have relied on to tell their stories for centuries. Join the CCCO and soloist Joe Brown, Second Trumpet of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, in a program featuring two stunning solos for trumpet and orchestra. From Alan Hovhaness’ lush, dream-like Prayer of Saint Gregory to Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s shimmering, virtuosic Concerto for Trumpet in Eb, this program will showcase the tremendous capabilities of the trumpet. Also on the program will be California-based composer Nick Benavides’s mesmerizing Magnetismus, the “Adagio” from Leos Janacek’s Idyll and Franz Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 82 “The Bear.”
