An Update from CCCO

by Sep 21, 2020

Dear Members of our CCCO Family,

Just as we’ve all been sheltering these past months, the CCCO has been taking an extended intermission from its performances.  These are difficult times for all of us, but we’re committed to returning to action and restarting our vibrant tradition of live music-making to the Bay Area community.  We’ve currently planned our return to the stage for Feb. 20-21, 2021 and April 17-18, 2021.  These concerts are scheduled to take place at our regular concert venues: the historical and elegant El Campanil Theatre and the contemporary and inspiring Lesher Center for the Arts.  Of course, safety is our top priority, so please stay tuned for any adjustments that we may need to make to protect our musicians and audience.

We’re also very pleased to announce our Guest Conductor and Interim Music Director for the 2021 concerts: Stefano Flavoni.  Stefano is an energetic and talented young conductor and gifted pianist.  He currently serves as Assistant Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony and as Music Director of the San Francisco Arts Education Project.  His conducting appearances have included assistant conductor for West Edge Opera and Berkeley Symphony, as well as guest conducting appearances with the Meitar Ensemble, the Berlin Sinfonietta, and the Miami Music Festival Orchestra.  We are delighted to partner with Stefano for our 2021 performances.

Please read more about Stefano here.
